The Miss Teen Volunteer organization is a service-oriented scholarship program that seeks to empower young women through educational scholarships and extraordinary opportunities.
Symbolism Of The Crown
Each of the 5 points on the crown represent a principle in our organization’s mission. Together, the first letter of each of those five principles spells:
Scholarship, Education, Responsibility, Volunteerism, Empowerment
AGE ELIGIBILITY: The Contestant's age eligibility requirements are based on a calendar year, not a pageant cycle.
MISS: A Contestant must be at least 17 years old on the first day of the state pageant and must not be older than 26 on December 31.
TEEN: A Contestant must be at least 13 years old on the first day of the state pageant and must not be older than 18 on December 31.
In order to compete in the state pageant, Contestant must be a:
High school student, graduate or equivalent, depending on age
Medical and legal female, never married, not a parent
Bona fide Massachusetts resident or full-time employee or student
Citizen of the United States of America
Able to compete in all areas of competition
